Golf Balance
When was the last time we practiced standing on one foot and holding the balance? Probably never. However, a key ingredient in our daily lives and that includes golf.
The balance is one of those things that more or less for granted. Not many of us think about it, or practice that, although it can prevent serious injuries to ourselves and help us to better perform daily tasks. How many times have you heard someone talk about – that was in very good shape – fall and break something, and was never really the same again? Just for this reason, the balance is gaining more press these days, and must be practiced regularly.
A better balance can also affect performance in golf. Almost all aspects of the game depends on player's ability to maintain balance while they were in different positions, and, in general, while explosive way to swing a golf club.
Whether because of the traits yards from the tee and on the street, or the fineness of those 100 yards in or around the green body control is a necessity. The alteration of the position to accommodate the type of shot will help the golfer a golf club smoothly and efficiently, resulting in the desired result.
For many this is a task hard enough to land flat, but in general these time series of golf shots must be made since uneven lies as ups and downs, or when the ball above or below your feet. This demand ever greater need for stability as a swing both soil and the impact of gravitational forces, an additional set of circumstances for the golfer, who now has to compensate.
Throw in some wind, with one foot in the bunker, and / or fatigue in some new and recent changes that affect the body part. This is the beauty and frustration on the golf course, one never has the same shot twice. There is always something different that requires to change something because the shot, and in every situation, stabilization or balance plays a role.
Age may have something to do with the lack of balance, but I've seen a lot of young players have trouble with the simplest of balance assessments. Yes, there are physiological changes that occur as we age that affect the balance, but for the most part, we can prevent this from happening.
Lower body strength, for example, plays a key role in the balance. Improving strength and coordination in all three planes of movement from side to side, from front to back and rotation, can improve balance. A good start is with the quadriceps (front thigh), buttocks (buttocks), calves and the abductor and adductors (inner and outer thigh). These also help to better control the lower body during the golf swing.
Practicing Balance is also something you can do to improve the balance. Get in your golf posture (as if standing at the direction of the ball, but with hands crossed on his chest instead of out in front of you) and then move the weight over a foot while the other foot lifted off the ground. Work towards a solid 10 seconds on each foot without losing balance. Take time, be patient and to improve it. If you have extreme difficulty with this, you may want to consult with your doctor, since there are other factors that can influence the balance.
Once achieved, making the exercise more specific courses, golf is a sport not static balance on one foot and then slowly rotate your shoulders back and forth like a golf shot. Practice until you can do 50 to 10 rotations for each side, with each leg without losing balance.
Do not take balance for granted. Take steps to improve their balance and not only improve the quality of life, but the quality of his golf game as well.
