High Definition Golf™ Launches World’s First Automated Video Swing Analysis

Vaughan, Ontario (PRWEB) December 01, 2011

Interactive Sports Technologies™ announces the launch of the World’s first automated video swing analysis module based on Jim McLean’s World Famous “8 Step Swing” teaching system. Integrated into High Definition Golf™ simulators, this system accurately measures every part of a golfer’s swing providing instant feedback while guiding them through the Jim McLean teaching system.

This ground breaking new addition to HD Golf™ simulators was designed by the scientists and engineers at High Definition Golf™ in cooperation with world top rated golf instructor Jim McLean. Jim McLean is well known for his research on the golf swing and the “8 Step Swing” video is the all time #1 golf instruction DVD in America. McLean’s “8 Step Swing” book was ranked by Sports Illustrated as one of the top golf instruction books of the 20th century (ranked #11). The Jim McLean Golf Schools are the #1 golf schools in the United States and McLean has taught more than 100 PGA Tour, LPGA and Senior PGA Tour players.

This unique, automated video swing analysis system allows golfers at any skill level to learn and train at their own pace. The “8 Step Swing” system will record and analyze a golfer’s swing in real-time, breaking it down into the 8 steps of the McLean system. The goal at each step is to stay within McLean’s “corridors of success,” or safety zones in which your club and body are in a good position to strike the ball well. If you remain within those corridors, the system will indicate that you have “passed” that step and you can move onto the next.

The system will also analyze and detect “death moves”. A Death move, a term coined by McLean, are actions that will kill your game or positions that are so far from ideal, that you cannot recover to strike the ball well. When the system detects that your position and swing are out of the “corridor of success” or have committed a death move, it automatically alerts the golfer and presents him with video coaching from a “virtual” Jim McLean as well as some appropriate lessons, drills and tips to improve performance. The whole system is very intuitive, easy-to-use and all information is displayed in a highly organized fashion on the golf simulator touch screen and large display screen.

The “8 Step Swing” module is integrated with the HD Golf™ video swing analysis, which is feature-rich and includes a complete set of drawing and editing tools that can also be accessed easily from the simulators touch screen. Features include: freeze frame, side by side comparison, slow motion playback and a professional swing overlay, also designed with Jim McLean. Users can also save swings to a Player Locker to monitor progress over time.

“The ‘8 Step Swing’ module is an exciting addition to our golf simulator product line up. It puts yet another powerful golf instruction and training tool in the hands of our customers and gives them access to a wealth of knowledge developed by one of the best instructors in the world, Jim McLean,” according to HD Golf™ President & CEO Todd Richardson. “The golf simulator is a great environment to learn in, it’s convenient, less intimidating and provides instant detailed feedback after every swing. It’s like having Jim as your own personal coach.”

Jim McLean will be demonstrating the “8 Step Swing” in the High Definition Golf™ exhibit at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show, taking place in Orlando, Florida, January 26-28, Booth #2413.

About The HD Golf™ Pro Golf Instruction Studio

High Definition Golf™ has developed a totally integrated professional golf instruction studio which is easy-to-use, completely modular in design and includes diagnostic tools for detailed shot analysis, video swing analysis, swing dynamics and weight transfer/balance analysis. These professional-grade tools operate seamlessly from a single computer system, providing comprehensive data collection and various simultaneous display options. The system also generates a variety of performance reports that are customizable and can be uploaded to “Player Lockers” on the web that the student can use to access and review lessons, statistics, video swing files and club fitting information, as well as sign up for tournaments and league play.

High Definition Golf™ pioneered computer vision technology for the golf simulator industry, and their systems make more measurements more accurately than any other simulator currently on the market. These include distance (carry and roll), ball speed, club-head speed, efficiency (“smash factor”), launch angle, swing-path (outside/in, inside/out), club head angle at impact, ball position (re: club-head at impact) and ball spin and spin axis. The simulator will also measure angle of attack, club head acceleration, position of maximum club head speed, club head speed at impact and swing tempo. HD Golf™ is also the only simulator with the unique capability to dynamically measure shaft flex and load factor, allowing club fitters and manufacturers to make precise shaft recommendations.

SWIGO – New Electric Golf Trolley and Car – video 1

Ride or Walk , you choose.New golf transporter , first tested by the french actor Mouss Diouf – Salon du Golf 2008 Paris France info SWIGO : jhallioua@golfit.fr

I bought this golf kart for 100 bucks and added a 6.5hp engine from Harbor Freight for 99 dollars. Easy to do. Only thing is no reverse unless you add a tranny. I making it easy. You can also get an electric golf cart and keep it electric but put a small gas engine and a alternator to charge the batteries when they start getting low. Just add a electric start engine and when the volt meter gets low you just turn on the gas motor and let it charge while you ride. That will be my next project after this one. You can put bigger motors on the golf cart but im not looking for anything extreme. Just something to cruz around.

10Rate Announces Its Top 10 Best Golf Balls for 2012 | Titliest ProV1x Wins #1 Spot | Nike One Tour and Tour Distance Wins Best Value

10Rate Announces Its Top 10 Best Golf Balls for 2012 | Titliest ProV1x Wins #1 Spot | Nike One Tour and Tour Distance Wins Best Value

Titleist ProV1x Tops still #1

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 27, 2012

Editors from 10rate spent some time researching and trying out some of the newest Golf Balls and rating and reviewing them on the following criteria:

Consistency in length off the tee, spin control and the ability to hold greens, “feel” of the ball around greens for chipping and putting, durability, and price/value.

The annual 2012 Top 10 Best Golf Balls awards list was topped by the Titliest ProV1x winning the top quality spot and a 9 out of 10 rating. The review noted several strengths of the ball including the following exerpt, “More professional golfers prefer this ball or the original ProV1 to any other ball. The reason is simple – a great combination of length, feel, and pure distance. It’s also got improved scuff resistance for increased durability and good spin control capabilities. ”

The best value golf ball in the Comparison Golf Ball Ratings as rated by the author was the Nike One Tour and Tour Distance ball which editors noted is strong in many areas such as the following:

“This ball was once a competitor to the best balls on tour. It has an impressive 378 dimples and 4 layer construction (the Tour Distance ball has 3 layer construction). It contains a soft seamless outer cover and is a top ball in distance, control and feel.”

Next, the best budget award from the Best Golf Ball Reviews was the Bridgestone e5 Golf Ball for which the reviewer commented, “Though a very good value price point, the Bridgestone e5 Golf Ball has great distance off the tee and isnt bad around the greens either. It has 330 dimples with an unusual dual dimple design, and a 2-piece cast urethane cover.”

Titleist, Callaway, Bridgestone and Nike all had two balls to make the Top 10 list.

10rate.com conducts reviews in various product and services categories and publishes “Expert Top 10 Lists for Everything in your life.” The company’s web site strives to “Make it Easy” to select from the hundreds of choices there are in the product and service market place. Medicus Golf Opens Learning Center in Augusta Georgia, Plans Expansion Across U.S. and Overseas

Indoor Hitting Bays in the Medicus Golf Learning Center at Jones Creek GC, Augusta Georgia.

Augusta, GA (PRWEB) December 3, 2009

Medicus Golf announced today the opening of the Medicus Golf Learning Center at Jones Creek Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. With the opening of this new center, Medicus Golf begins the first stage of its planned strategic expansion into markets throughout the continental United States and overseas.

At the new 2,700 square foot Jones Creek facility, expert instructors from the Medicus Golf Institute work with the latest in golf performance technology and club fitting to create an unparalleled learning experience for golfers of all skill levels.

“Jones Creek Golf Club is the perfect venue for this new Medicus facility,” said Chuck Evans, executive director of the Medicus Golf Institute and a Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher. “Students have access to top Medicus Golf Institute instructors, state-of-the-art golf technology, and an exceptional golf course in Jones Creek.”

Instructional programs planned for the Medicus Golf Learning Center at Jones Creek include Medicus’ flagship junior development program, as well as private lessons and golf schools for adults and families. Curriculum for the programs is provided by Medicus Certified Swingology Instructors under the direction of Evans. As quality instruction must be complemented by quality equipment, the facility will offer students custom fit clubs from Callaway, Mizuno, Ping, TaylorMade and Titleist.

Medicus Golf Institute instructors based at Jones Creek take advantage of the latest in instructional technology, including the V1 Digital Coaching System and the FlightScope launch monitor system. Together, these systems provide students an unmatched visual learning experience that accelerates game improvement.

Golf instruction at the facility is based on Swingology – Simplifying the Concepts of Homer Kelley’s The Golfing Machine. Swingology is the science of the golf swing, and proves that all successful golf swings maintain a simple set of important “constants” – identical ingredients called key alignments. The swings of most PGA TOUR professionals look slightly different, but the key alignments are the same.

While most golf instruction today emphasizes “position golf,” Swingology emphasizes alignment golf. Alignment golf is superior because you can be in all of the supposedly correct positions, yet still completely miss the golf ball; if you have proper alignments, you can miss the supposed correct positions and still play good golf.

Medicus Golf, best known for its innovative line of training aids, has been expanding its reach into golf instruction through the Medicus Golf Institute. Golf instruction offerings include private instruction, golf schools and player development programs. For more information, visit http://medicuscorporation.com/golf_schools/location_augusta.aspx
